I have very mixed feelings about this book... Did I liked it? Yes. Was it captivating from beginning to end? No.
The story itself is great, liked the undercover witchy life, the covens and the magic, the different ways of their adult life... I know all good worldbuild need some time to adjust, but it's just felt too long in here. The day to day life was way too long and nothing really happened for a very long time!
Than we get Theo! And boy, I hoped its gonna be something more interesting! Theo has so much potential, and instead of discovering more of the kid's past, we got... well... nothing. Always just put in a corner... so disappointed.
BUT the story redeemed itself. After the storyline finally picked up some speed, it was actually much more enjoyable, some actions and twists, and the ending... damn that cliffhanger...
